Spain: Our Partner - CSIC/ICMA
Located in Zaragoza 350km west of Barcelona, the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Aragon (ICMA) is a Joint Research Institute founded in 1985 between the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Zaragoza (UZ).
ICMA is internationally prestigious in materials science and has a long history of managing international large scale facilities, for example neutron sources. The institute has been a scientific member of the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL , Grenoble, France) since 1987 with a number of ICMA researchers permanently located there as part of the Spanish Collaborative Research Group (CRG).
