The Netherlands: Delft University of Technology (TUD)
Better known as TU Delft, one of top universities in The Netherlands consist of eight core faculties, numerous research facilities and seven research areas. One of the research area ‘Radiation Science and Technology (RST)’ working together with the Reactor Institute Delft (RID), a small yet significant nuclear research reactor with interests such as materials to energy, sustainable production of isotopes for health.
The RID is over 50 years old, having a small pool-type reactor (2 MW) called the Hoger Onderwijs Reactor (HOR) Nuclear Reactor, producing neutrons for research purposes. With their OYSTER-program they aim to achieve answers for fundamental research questions in the field of health, sustainable energy and material research.
TUD are contributing to the SINE2020 work packages in the following ways:
- Instrumentation: E-tools
- Support for Industry
