The ESS View on SasView
Poster presentation at the DanScatt meeting on SAS data analysis within SINE2020
Date: 19/05/2016
WP Coordinator: Thomas Holm Rod
DanScatt 2016 is a combined annual meeting for crystallographers in Denmark and DanScatt (researchers using multiple types of diffraction techniques) organised as an opportunity to meet and share information, results and/or experiences with researchers within the field. It will be held on May 26 – 27 at the University of Copenhagen.
Given that a number of members of the SINE2020 activity on Data Treatment Software are based at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, DanScatt is a good opportunity to present their activities.
The aim of this activity is to make it simpler for neutron users (from academia, industry, or non-experts) to use data resulting from experiments. Wojciech Potrzebowski from ESS will thus present a poster to describe how the SINE2020 project enables the development of new features, code refactoring, GUI re-design and optimization for faster analysis methods by use of Graphical Processing Units. In the future, we expect this work to provide a better user experience and make SasView a potential tool for live analysis of SAS data.
